We're a locally owned hardware and building supply store serving homeowners, farmers, and contractors across Northwest Florida. No big-box runaround — just real products, fair prices, and people who know what they're talking about.
It all began with one man, Coleman Register, one vision, serving the community and two airplane hangers on Eglin Airforce Base. He carefully took them down, loaded them on a trailer, hauled them to Chipley and reassembled them into the building that became the heart of Surplus & Salvage. That original building is still here today. What began with those two hangers has grown into a complex of warehouses and manufacturing operations - but the foundation of the business remains the same. A vision. Hard work. And a commitment to serving the people around us.

More Than a Hardware Store
Today, Surplus & Salvage is much more than a traditional hardware store. Our Opporation includes multiple warehouses and two manufacturing operations, serving contractors, builders, homeowners and agricultural customers throughout the region. We manufacture our own metal roofing panels and trim, giving our customers access to products directly from our own manufactuing opperation. We also opporate our own truss plant, where we manufacture engineered, angle iron trusses designed for pole barn construction.
